John Hampden Randolph & Emily Jane Liddell
John Hampden Randolph(1813 to 1883) was a young man born into wealth. He met his future wife Emily in Mississippi at Elmwood Plantation. They soon got married and moved to thier first home togther named forest home. They soon built Nottoway togther.
John Hampden Jr., 1844-1919
Was a civil war survivor and attended LSU and graduated as an engineer. He gave his mother, Emily a home after she sold Nottoway.
Cornelia, 1851-?,
Cornelia had created a diary named "The White Castle of Louisiana," where she described daily life at the plantation. She was published as a male author and married a doctor.
