The Gentleman's Study.
This was a room that would be the modern day "man cave". This room was designated for all of the men to go to after dinner or after a long day. This was the only room that could be smoked in in the whole house and was the room that Randolph had spent most of his time.
Dining Room.
This is the main dining room. This room was made with all of the modern amenities of that time including plate warmers and a tea leaf holder. The ceiling has a flower accent on it and it is said that each plate is part of a story in picture. The table has a claw foot design which is said to be very expensive and a mark of high class.
Master Suite.
This was the main bedroom which John and Emily slept in. This room was also a top notch room for its time. It included a bed with a removable post which Emily used to store her jewelry during the civil war. They had a coal burning bed warmer which was a pan on a stick that was hot, they would then rub it on the bed to get the sheets hot before they got in. Emily had her own hat closet and her very own shoe tying chair which made it easier for her to bend down and tie her boots.
